The funded route · by country
Public funding for AI in manufacturing, country by country.
Most European countries pay part of the bill when a mid-sized manufacturer puts AI onto its own processes. The programs differ by country and region, and they open and close through the year. This page is the map.
Never a precondition
An award is never guaranteed, and it’s never a precondition of working with us: the plan stands on its own economics, and funding rides along. When a window is open, the diagnostic’s plan gives us the dossier ready to file.
Spain
Advisory vouchers under Kit Consulting pay for expert AI advisory in mid-sized companies — the state pays the accredited advisor directly, which can cover the diagnostic that starts our work. Implementation support exists alongside it, and Spain returns 12% of qualifying IT-innovation spend as a tax deduction on top of any grant.

The federal digitalization programs of the last decade have largely closed; the live money sits with the Länder. North Rhine-Westphalia’s MID — Mittelstand Innovativ & Digital — co-funds digitalization and AI projects for NRW-based SMEs, and Hessen’s Distr@l does the same for Hessian companies. Which window applies depends on where your plant is registered.

Made Smarter pairs manufacturers with expert advice and match-funds digital-technology projects, region by region. It is adoption-focused — exactly the shape of a first working app on your own process.

Diag Data IA, run through Bpifrance, subsidizes a data-and-AI diagnostic for SMEs and mid-caps — the study that starts the work, at a fraction of its cost.

The chambers of commerce run digitalization vouchers (PID) that return a share of qualifying projects for local SMEs — smaller sums than the national programs of the past, but open regularly and regional by design.

On top: innovation and R&D tax relief.
Grants cover a share; most countries let you deduct part of the remainder as innovation or R&D relief. It stacks — and it’s claimed after the fact, so it survives even when a grant window is shut.
What’s open changes by the quarter and by your postcode. Thirty minutes is enough to tell you what applies to your factory.
